Quality Assurance

How does Quality Assurance work?

Here’s the process:

  • Go to Quality Assurance page, via the left side navigation on Askem Dashboard
  • If you have not subscribed to the quality assurance feature yet, you will be presented with a sample analysis of your website. If you wish, you can subscribe to the feature and see the full results.
  • There are two top-level parts of the analysis: accessibility and broken links. At the top you see an accessibility score as well as the count of broken links we have detected.
    1. Accessibility
      • In the Common Issues tab you can see issues that are repeating across your website. These are the most important ones to tackle. Each issue has a sample of a few pages where it is located, including the CSS selector pointing to the correct location on the webpage. The issue is described according to the WCAG 2.1 standard and has corresponding instructions on how to fix it.
      • In the Issues by Page tab you can see in more detail the issues on specific pages. The lists are ranked by most issues.
      • In both Common Issues and Issues by Page views, you can see the Errors, Warnings and Notices. These are according to the WCAG 2.1 specification, where Errors are the most important issues to tackle; Warnings and Notices are good to take into account too, but will not be major flaws.
    2. Broken links
      • The broken links view lists pages on your website ranked by the number of broken links we have detected. For each page, you can see a detailed list of links and the anchor texts for those links.
